i dreamt of me in a familiar place in my life to be exact my primary school. i just chilling at second floor balcony when i see a bunch of students hitting some vending machine a giant one at that. i want to go down to the ground floor but as i went down the stair i saw my ex boyfriend(i still like him but we grow distant without a word to close our relationship i just acknowledge him as my ex). without control i choked him until he let out a cry then his friend stopped me. When i realise what i do i quickly apologies at him trying to give comfort. i hug him. then a warning was issued at the school speaker that an intruder has come in. i quickly shielded him and bring him to a safe place. when i go searching at the bathroom for the intruder with him i suddenly woke from the dream.(i dont feel familiar with the bathroom)
Dreams often contain layers of meaning, reflecting our emotions, experiences, and subconscious thoughts. Here's an interpretation of the various elements in your dream:
Familiar Setting: The primary school setting can indicate a return to a formative period in your life. Schools often represent learning, growth, and unresolved issues from childhood or adolescence. This may symbolize a desire to revisit your past or work through feelings that originated then.
Ex-Boyfriend: Your ex represents unresolved feelings or unfinished business. Choking him could symbolize repressed emotions, frustration, or a sense of control you wish to exert over the situation or relationship. Your unconscious might be grappling with feelings of anger or hurt related to your breakup, even if you only consciously acknowledge liking him.
Apology and Comfort: After the aggressive act, you apologize and attempt to comfort him, reflecting a desire for reconciliation or closure. This could indicate that you want to resolve lingering feelings and ensure that both of you are emotionally safe.
Intruder Warning: The intruder may symbolize external threats or fears in your waking life, possibly related to your relationship with your ex or other life stressors. Your instinct to shield him suggests that, despite the past tension, you still care for his well-being and are willing to protect what matters to you.
Search for the Intruder: Searching for the intruder in a bathroom (a place rarely associated with danger) might signify a quest for understanding or clarity in a confusing situation. Bathrooms often symbolize privacy and intimacy, indicating a process of self-exploration.
Overall, this dream conveys a complex mix of emotions: nostalgia for the past, unresolved feelings for your ex, protective instincts, and perhaps a sense of vulnerability in facing new challenges or fears. It might be helpful to explore these feelings in your waking life, considering how they affect your relationships and sense of safety.
